Information Faeya processes

• Check-ins: The feeling you select and its intensity are used during your current session. They are saved with a reflection only if you choose “Save this reflection.”
• Saved reflections: A saved entry contains the selected feeling, intensity, the text you choose to keep (up to 240 characters), and its date and time. Entries are stored in Faeya's app-specific storage on your iPhone.
• Microphone input: If you choose Speak aloud and grant microphone permission, Faeya processes the live input on your device to measure sound level and animate a visual. It does not recognize words, create a transcript, record audio, or save or send audio.
• Preferences: Your Reduce motion and Gentle haptics choices are stored on your device.

How information is used and shared

Faeya uses this information to provide the features you choose, show saved entries in your journal, and apply your preferences. The current version has no account service or app server connection and does not send your check-ins, saved reflections, microphone input, or preferences to Faeya or third-party servers. The app does not include advertising or analytics integrations.

If you contact support by email, your message is handled by your email provider and the systems used to deliver that email. Avoid including information you do not want to share in an email.

Your choices and data retention

You can choose not to save a check-in, delete an individual reflection from Journal, or clear all saved reflections in Settings. Deleted entries are removed from Faeya's local journal storage. Device backups managed through iOS may retain app data according to the backup settings you choose.

Preferences remain on your device until you change them or remove the app data through iOS. Microphone access is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings. Speak aloud can be skipped if you do not grant access.

Children's privacy

Faeya has no account or online submission feature. Its reflection field accepts free-form text, so anyone using the app should take care about what they choose to save. A parent or guardian can review the app with a child and delete saved entries from the device.

Security

Reflections are kept in the app's local storage, and Faeya uses iOS file protection options when writing saved entries. Protecting access to your device and managing device backups are also important. No method of storage can be described as completely risk-free.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Faeya changes. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. If a future version changes how information is handled, the policy will be updated to describe that change.
